Award recognizes company’s exceptional commitment to cede treaty business to Ethiopian Re on voluntary basis

Ethiopian Re officially merits The United Insurance Company SC, better known as, <UNIC-ETHIOPIA> for their trailblazing decision to cede treaty business on voluntary basis. The recognition was bestowed by Ethio- Re to the United Insurance for the audacious move to cede businesses voluntarily signifying their determination to contribute a part in strengthening the national venture.

Ethio-Re’s 2018 Annual General Meeting of shareholders was held on Tuesday, 18 April at Hilton Addis Hotel , its shareholders, Senior Mnagement and guests were in attendance at the meeting, which was chaired by Mr. Haile Michael Kumsa, Chairman of the Board.

Ethio-Re Rebounds From Losses

SAP Ethiopian reinsuranceEthio-Re signed a license and implementation agreement with SAP East Africa Limited and msg Global Solutionsto fully automate its core reinsurance operations and financial management system on Tuesday, 13 November 2018. The purchase of License  has been concluded with SAP East Africa Limited whereas the implementation  agreement has been made with msg Global. The latter shall be responsible for the implementation of both systems over 9 months period.

The elections for the members of the Board of Directors of Ethiopian Re will be held in the coming 3rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of shareholders. The Election Committee assigned by shareholders on the 2nd AGM held on 19th December, 2017 is hereby announcing the nominees shortlisted for nominations to fill the expiring seats on the Board of Directors of Ethiopian Re.
