Ethiopian Reinsurance Share Company (EthioRe) officially welcomed its newly appointed Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Netsanet Lemesa, during a warm and memorable ceremony held at the company’s headquarters.
The event was filled with optimism, as management and staff gathered to celebrate this important milestone. A symbolic cake-cutting ceremony and presentation of a bouquet of flowers expressed the team’s enthusiasm and well wishes for Mr. Lemesa as he begins his leadership journey at EthioRe.
In his welcoming speech, Mr. Lemesa acknowledged the outstanding service of Acting CEO Ato Fikru Tsigaye, expressing deep gratitude for his leadership and dedication during the transition. Mr. Lemesa also shared that his connection to Ethiopian Reinsurance began long before his appointment, having previously served as CEO of Ethiopian Insurance Corporation — one of EthioRe’s key shareholders.
During his address to the staff, Mr. Lemesa emphasized his commitment to driving innovation across operations, strengthening strategic partnerships and fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented work culture.
He highlighted the importance of teamwork and a shared vision in advancing EthioRe’s strategic goals and enhancing its role in Ethiopia’s expanding reinsurance sector.
Acting CEO Ato Fikru Tsigaye also spoke at the event, stating:
