Ethiopian Re is partcipating on School feeding programme designed for Ethiopian National Association of the Deaf (ENAD), Co-Action Learning Centre for Deaf Children- Under the auspices of City Government of Addis Ababa Education Bureau. ENAD was re-registered under the Civil Society Organization proclamation No. 1113/2019 with registration number 1453 on 24//06/2019.
ETHIO-RE as a corporate social responsibility believes in funding acutely vulnerable children to access basic education each year through engaging itself in national school feeding programs organized by government. The children who benefit from the Programme are disabled children structured by Ethiopian National Association of the Deaf (ENAD) Co-action school- Under the auspices of City Government of Addis Ababa Education Bureau. They are from extremely impoverished, broken families who would be unable to send them to school without support from outside sources.
The objective is to demonstrate corporate citizenship role for the poor through programmes that relieve poverty, transform lives and restore hope amongst vulnerable children and their families. This programme in its first phase includes Feeding Programme to provide food to children as a means of school drop out prevention.
