As part of its 10th Anniversary celebrations, Ethiopian Reinsurance S.C. (Ethio-Re) participated in its annual Tree Planting Program at Entoto Park, reaffirming the Company’s commitment to environmental sustainability and its long-standing green initiatives.
The activity aligns with Ethiopia’s Green Legacy Initiative and the theme “Let Us Plant Hope,” reflecting a shared vision of handing over a green Ethiopia to the next generation.
Ethio-Re’s commitment to sustainability extends beyond tree planting. In 2024, Ethio-Re became a signatory to the Nairobi Declaration on Sustainable Insurance (NDSI), integrating sustainability and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles into its Vision 2030 and strategic direction. This commitment reflects Ethio-Re’s ambition to promote responsible insurance practices and become an ESG Champion in Africa.
