In an initiative to build the capacity of insurers, Ethio-Re has trained over 36 staff from 18 insurers in Ethiopia on Fire insurance. The training on Fire insurance was conducted from 7-8 December 2021, in Addis Ababa. It mainly addressed the concerns of the insurance industry regarding fire underwriting, fire loss assessment, and measures to be taken to minimize or prevent loss. The training was supported with hands-on practical measures from Addis Ababa City Administration Fire and Disaster Risk Management Commission.
