Addis Ababa, December 19, 2025 — Ethiopian Reinsurance S.C. (EthioRe) has officially signed a contract with Ethiopian Engineering Corporation (EEC) for the development of its new headquarters.
The signing ceremony, held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, commenced with opening remarks by EthioRe’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Netsanet Lemessa. This was followed by a comprehensive design presentation and evaluation conducted by the Jury led by Mr. Wuhib Kebede. The event concluded with closing remarks from Board Chairman Ato Danacew Mahari, who reaffirmed the Board’s approval of the selected design and underscored the importance of effective project management and successful execution.
The agreement was formally signed by Mr. Netsanet Lemessa, CEO of EthioRe, and Engineer Anwar Kassahun, Deputy CEO of Ethiopian Engineering Corporation. The contract encompasses final design development, site supervision, and contract administration throughout the construction phase.
EthioRe has already acquired property in the Lideta area, currently utilized for investment and office purposes. Upon completion, the new headquarters will become the second property owned by EthioRe, further strengthening the Company’s asset base and supporting its long-term growth and strategic objectives.
